Rosters announced for 2014 B.C. senior boys high school all-star game April 20 at LEC

LANGLEY — The championship hardware was handed out in mid-March, but there is still some high school basketball left to be played in the 2013-14 season.

Langley Events Centre is the home of the annual B.C. boys and girls all-star games, and this week, the roster was released for the boys game, which tips off at 5 p.m. on April 20. The girls game precedes it at 3 p.m.

One team will be coached by Rick Lopez, head coach of the B.C. Quad A champion Sir Winston Churchill Bulldogs of Vancouver. The other will be coached by Aaron Mitchell, head coach of the B.C. Triple A champion St. Thomas More Knights of Burnaby.

A look at the boys rosters:

Team Lopez

Guards: Mindy Minhas (Winston Churchill), Alex Coote (West Point Grey), Corey Hauck (W.J. Mouat), Sukhjot Bains (Tamanawis), Alex Jordache (Claremont), Elijah Campbell-Axson (Vancouver College), Eric Rogers (Sardis)

Forwards: Kosia Cauw (B.C. Christian) Nick Tancon (Highland).

Centre: Grant Galbraith (Gleneagle)

Team Mitchell

Guards: Ishmail Abdulahi (Lambrick Park), Jadon Cohee (Walnut Grove), Nathan Vogstad (Queen Charlotte).

Forwards: Reece Morris (St. Thomas More), Joe Davis (Westsyde), Matt Neufeld (Lambrick Park), Hayden Lejeune (Sardis), Jonathan Kongbo (Holy Cross), Denver Sparks-Guest (Gleneagle), Patrick Vandervelden (Yale).
